Art Statement
My art journey has taken me to jungle-like settings in Florida, walks in the woods of Michigan and standard art studios. Whatever the art-making place the subject directs the path to creativity. The medium can be sacred tree leaves, botanicals found on walks in the neighborhood, wire, paper or paint. I use whatever it takes to magnify the character of the idea.
Artist Bio
Beth Schroeder is a Naples, Florida-based artist with a BFA from Western Michigan University. After 18 years immersed in Chicago’s art scene, she relocated south with her husband. Her award-winning work has been exhibited nationally, including at Big Arts on Sanibel Island, and is held in private and corporate collections.
Beth was featured in the Naples Museum of Art’s Friends Studio Tour and served as coordinator of the Arts in Healing program at Naples Community Hospital, where she used art as a tool for wellness and connection.
