Naples International Dance Festival 2026 Highlights

The 2026 Naples International Dance Festival unfolded over five dynamic days, beginning with an evening of dance on screen and conversation that explored choreography through film and dialogue in a Q&A with former New York City Ballet Soloist, Megan LeCrone. Midweek programming emphasized education, wellness, and access, featuring masterclasses held at Opera Naples and a free, all-ages “Revelations Celebration Community Workshop” set in the iconic Naples Botanical Garden led by Ailey Arts In Education teaching artists, accompanied by live music from an Ailey percussionist.

The festival’s centerpiece arrived with a premier performance featuring world-class artists including LeCrone and dancers who have performed with the Dutch National Ballet, the Scottish Ballet, and the San Francisco Ballet, among others. The evening was further enhanced by a welcome from the Mayor of the City of Naples, Teresa Heitmann, and a pre-performance dance and wellness talk led by Director of the UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine, Dr. Jennifer Baxley Lee. A celebratory post-performance VIP reception with the artists followed the breathtaking performance.

The weekend continued with high-level masterclasses for aspiring dancers and an exclusive beachfront VIP experience, bringing patrons and artists together in an intimate setting. NIDF concluded with inclusive programming focused on movement, health, interdisciplinary artistic inspiration, and community connection, including a Dance for Parkinson’s Disease class—reinforcing the festival’s commitment to making dance accessible and uplifting for all in our community.
