Raised in Naples, FL, Shauna recently returned to her hometown after nearly 20 years up north to move closer to family and take on the role of President of the John B. and Nancy K. Dee Foundation.
She has been working as a nonprofit manager for most of her professional life with an emphasis on arts organizations in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. She also enjoys engaging with local community efforts, serving on her neighborhood organization boards and participating in city planning processes. Prior to settling in Minneapolis she lived in a vibrant arts and cultural corridor in Chicago, the neighborhood of Pilsen, where her passion for public art and supporting artists took shape. This new interest led her to enroll in the Arts and Cultural Management masters program at St. Mary’s University of MN where she learned sustainable nonprofit management practices and strategic cultural planning. She previously received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame, IN (2006) in a traditional liberal arts program, and supports the mission of her alma mater to this day by serving on the local alumni chapter board, the board for the Keough-Naughton Institute of Irish Studies, and the council for the Raclin-Murphy Museum of Art.
In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and golf; attending sporting events, live music and theatre shows; and traveling, especially to visit family in Ireland and Minnesota.
