Mark Nerenhausen has a rich history in the performing arts sector. He recently retired as the Pres/CEO of the Hennepin Theatre Trust in Minneapolis, MN and in the course of his career served as Pres/CEO of other notable major performing arts centers including the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on Maui.
Nerenhausen was the founding director of the Janklow Arts Leadership Program and a Professor of Practice at Syracuse University. His academic experience also includes faculty positions at Florida International University in Miami; Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla.; and Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale. Nerehausen received his undergraduate degree in Russian History from the University of Wisconsin and his M.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduate School of Business.
Mark served on the board of the Bluegreen Corp. in Boca Raton, Fla. as well as the boards of cultural organizations and civic organizations. He is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and maintains an active consulting schedule in the sectors of arts districts, performing arts centers and cultural tourism.
