My research focuses on emotion regulation development, particularly in preschoolers who are neurodevelopmentally at-risk, as well as clinical music intervention development.
My approach to teaching centers on one primary purpose—to help students succeed. I believe there is a developmental trajectory to learning, which is shaped by contextual factors. My goals for students are to empower creative critical thinking, stimulate curiosity, and nurture compassionate care.
