Co-Founder and Director, Method and Concept
Chad Jensen is an artist, furniture maker, designer, and the Founding Director of Method & Concept. Jensen is a true advocate for the arts. His work and the gallery’s programming both demonstrate the symbiotic relationship between contemporary craft, fine art and design.
Jensen’s professional career spans over 25 years, working in mixed-media art, product and interior design. He is one of the first graduates of the Interdisciplinary Art & Design program at Detroit’s acclaimed College for Creative Studies’, where he studied under renowned industrial designers and American modern masters in the studio arts; receiving a formal education in wood, metals, hot glass, ceramics, and fibers.
In 2013, Jensen co-founded Method & Concept, a contemporary art gallery and interior design studio located in the heart of the Naples Design District, as a subsidiary of the celebrated Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild. That same year, Jensen designed a furniture collection for METHOD & CONCEPT that launched during NYC Design Week at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF).
In addition to his work at Method & Concept, Jensen is an active leader in the Naples’ cultural landscape. He is a Founding Director, and advisor, to the Naples Design District.
He served as President, for two terms, with United Arts Collier, and currently serves on the Advisory Boards of Naples Illustrated, Florida Gulf Coast University’s Digital Media Design, and Florida Gulf Coast University’s Art Galleries, where he is a frequent guest speaker, gallery juror, and student mentor.
In 2022, Jensen was recognized as one of Gulfshore Life’s Men & Women of the Year, and a Top 100 Business Leader by Naples Illustrated.
Jensen’s civic engagement extends to public art, placing two significant works in the City of Naples in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Most recently, on March 1, 2023, Method & Concept debuted a public sculpture and garden walk (ACL/ROW) in the Naples Design District, celebrating Naples’ history with the generous support of the City of Naples, Naples Depot Museum, and Naples Botanical Garden.
