Supporting  Collier’s Art History

This initiative is a partnership between United Arts Collier, the state-recognized Local Arts Agency for Collier County, and Florida Humanities, which preserves, promotes, and shares the history, literature, cultures, and personal stories of Florida.

UAC invites our community to share their memories and memorabilia digitally to create a virtual library that will be the basis for exhibitions, talks, articles, videos, tours, and more celebrating the history of Collier’s arts.

Together, and with the help of our community’s arts-loving organizations and individuals, we will explore how we got to where we are today through Collier’s rich, fascinating, and inspiring history of the arts in our community.

Objectives And Outcomes

• Online archive preserving memories and memorabilia from patrons, artists, organizations, and leaders

• Exhibitions and events featuring arts stories and memorabilia highlights

• Collier Arts Archive Documentary

• Collier Arts Archive speaker series

• Literary publications based on interviews and memorabilia to be published in Florida Humanities FORUM Magazine

• GPS guided city tour of key historic Arts and Culture points in Collier County

UAC has the support of artists, legislators, patrons, and archivists throughout Collier County. Your support will help us to make this enduring legacy project a reality. Please help us preserve the arts in Collier!
