Director (March 2023-present)

Eileen Smith brings to UAC a diverse background in management, technology, human resources, teaching, and collaborative leadership. She is a licensed therapist and owner of Personalized Counseling Center in Naples. In addition to teaching psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University, she has been a guest lecturer at various universities including FAU in Boca Raton. Prior to this, she has held positions in Information Technology at Chase Manhattan Bank and Human Resources at Prudential Financial. Eileen has an undergraduate degree from the University of New York at Albany and holds a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Kean University.

Appreciation of the performing and fine arts is a main stay in Eileen’s life – from guitar to singing and piano. She has performed with the All-City NYC Chorus, Delray Beach Chorale, and North Carolina’s Burke County Women’s Chorus. Additionally, she has supported various arts organizations including the Garden State Ballet in New Jersey. Eileen sees UAC as a vital link between the arts and the community and is highly energized to share how the arts contribute to the quality of life.

Since 2020, Eileen and her husband have resided in Naples and also enjoy spending time surrounded by the beauty of nature and local music at their lake home in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
